VVINSCO supplies 316 and 316L hot rolled stainless steel plates for industrial fabrication, equipment manufacturing and corrosion-resistant components. Featured thicknesses are 12mm, 15mm and 16mm, with additional thicknesses and cut-to-size options available on request.
AISI 316 stainless steel contains chromium, nickel and molybdenum, providing improved resistance to certain corrosive environments compared with 304 stainless steel. Grade 316L has a lower maximum carbon content and is often selected for welded fabrications where reducing sensitization risk is important. Actual suitability depends on service conditions and project specifications.
Our hot rolled plates are commonly supplied with a No.1 finish, produced through hot rolling followed by annealing and descaling/pickling as applicable. No.1 is an industrial surface finish, not a decorative hairline or mirror polish.

Engineering note: Pressure vessels, structural members and safety-critical parts require design verification, applicable codes and suitable material documentation. Material grade alone does not establish compliance.
VVINSCO can arrange checks of material grade, thickness, dimensions, surface condition and order quantity before dispatch. The scope of testing, tolerances, marking and material test certificates should be agreed during quotation and purchase-order confirmation.
Plates are packed according to their dimensions, weight and transport requirements, with protective materials and appropriate handling arrangements for shipment.

316L has a lower maximum carbon content than 316 and is commonly preferred for certain welded fabrications. Both contain molybdenum; grade selection should reflect the application and specification.
These are featured thicknesses. Confirm current stock, grade, dimensions and order quantity when requesting a quote.
No.1 is an industrial hot rolled surface generally produced with subsequent annealing and descaling. It is not a mirror or hairline decorative finish.
Custom cutting and additional processing can be discussed based on your drawing, tolerance and order volume.
Material test certificates can be arranged according to the ordered material and agreed documentation requirements. Please specify your requirements before ordering.
